I actually like Carbon Copy Cloner, which is free.
We discussed this during a troubleshooting session… I recommended getting a large hard drive (at least 3x your drive size). I’ve managed to get good prices on Western Digital drives from Fry’s and other sources. I should mention that several people have mentioned problems with large LaCie drives, recently. My next drive will probably be around 300 gigs… planning to buy it in early March, so any advice is welcome.

My laptop HD died over the weekend. In my scramble to recover I found that Fry’s has on-line and in-store deals on Maxtor 300G drives for $200 ($150 after mail in rebate) through today (2/28).
